Ashley designed our cake just how we had imagined, the detail and flowers were so pretty, the hours you must have spent creating our masterpiece really did show. The cake also tasted just gorgeous, we received lots of compliments from our guests about how lovely the cake tasted. I can't thank Ashley enough to for our truly magnificent wedding cake. She listened to everything we wanted and by gum did she deliver the goods! Our cake was a beautiful three tiered suitcase cake, triple chocolate, lemon and white chocolate & raspberry, with travel stickers from all the places we have travelled as a couple. Can't thank Ashley enough for our wedding cake. Even though we kept the design low-key and simple the cake definitely attracted a lot of attention with our special bride, groom and sausage dog toppers which we absolutely loved!
The cake itself was a simple Victoria sponge but tasted delicious with a lovely texture.
Her communication was spot-on and if I needed to check or change any details she would get back to me right away.

After admiring Mrs Boucake on Facebook I got in contact about making our wedding cake. The original designs I sent through changed when it came to planning and designing the cake and you took it all on board with no problems. It was a surprise wedding cake my husband knew nothing about so we had to be discreet about it which Mrs Boucake was happy to play along with. They finished cake was amazing and beyond anything I could have imagined. All the detail was spot on and they cake was set up perfectly at the venue all ready for us to see it. The cake itself was delicious and all the guests commented on how amazing it tasted. I couldn't recommend anyone better and I'm so glad the business is going from strength to strength

Top Tips when picking your flavours
Remember that the bottom tiers serve the most people so you may want to go for crowd pleasers for those and find more specialist flavours for the smaller tiers
Spice Cake is becoming less popular the over the years but if you would like to include it in your tiered cake it should be on the bottom as it is heavier than sponge. You could also have a smaller cake to the side and have a dummy cake within your tiered structure.
Top tips for your Design
I always think that fresh flowers go better on a soft ice cake, sugar flowers should be kept for traditionally iced fondant cakes.
Less is more, don't overcrowd your design.
The easiest way to personalise you design it to add a monogram or add coloured ribbon to go with your colour scheme.
I would recommend getting extra flowers from your florist to decorate your cake with unless you are going for sugar decorations, this way they will tie in perfectly with bouquets etc.
You can add hidden messages in your cake or nods to loved ones that have passed.
If you purchase your own topper it can easily be personalised
Why not have some sugar figures made of yourselves and/or pets to add to your design?
